Ruurlo: Exhibition Fong Leng & Mathilde Chic Le Freak (until 28 June 2026)
Until the end of June, Museum JAN and Museum MORE | Ruurlo Castle are showcasing the revolutionary creations of Dutch fashion icon Fong-Leng.
The exhibition at Ruurlo Castle focuses primarily on the roaring 1970s and Fong-Leng's relationship with “living work of art” Mathilde Willink. In addition to a selection of unique, sculptural garments, MORE also displays denim designs that Fong-Leng created for Levi's. New works by fashion photographer Ferry van der Nat also show how contemporary Fong-Leng's fashion still is.|
Nijmegen: Rediscovering Nijmegen's industrial heritage (until 28 February)
This exhibition examines an important similarity between four Nijmegen companies and their factories: the art production associated with these companies. The Nimco shoe factory, Dobbelmann soap factory, Honig food factory and Van Dungen chocolate factory are examined in detail.
These factories often play a role in memories of Nijmegen in the last century. The smell of chocolate, leather or soap that spread through the factories, houses filled with the products of these companies, and the artistic design of these products.
The products of these companies were offered to consumers with attractive packaging and creative advertising. From the mid-twentieth century onwards, the streetscape changed with the arrival of large shop windows, where these packages and advertisements were displayed.
Apeldoorn: Paleis Het Loo Dress codes (t/m 8 maart 2026)
Come face to face with clothing worn by Queens Wilhelmina, Emma and Máxima. See outfits worn on the red carpet by Kendall Jenner, Margot Robbie and more. You can do all this and more at this unique fashion exhibition.
Dress codes are timeless: who do you want to be, where do you want to belong, and what does your clothing say about that? These questions have not changed much over the centuries. At court, fashion played an important role in expressing personal style and status. The exhibition takes you through these specific royal dress codes, focusing on questions such as: what is a court train? What do you wear during an outdoor walk? Is white the colour of marriage or mourning? Iconic pieces, such as Wilhelmina's wedding dress, as well as clothing for hunting, ceremonies and parties are featured.
