The Centre of the Netherlands
On the Goudsberg near Lunteren, you’ll find the symbolic Centre of the Netherlands. Look out for the three boulders and descend the steps into the old sand quarry. From the Hessenhut, you’ll then have a lovely view of the surrounding area.

De Koepel Viewing Tower
From April to October, climb to the top of De Koepel, a 22-metre observation tower in the Luntersche Buurtbosch. On a clear day, you might even spot the Dom Tower in Utrecht. Afterwards, you can simply stroll straight into the woods.

Wekeromse Zand
On the Wekeromse Zand, you’ll walk through a vast area of shifting sand, surrounded by heathland and woodland. For children, it’s one big sandpit, and with a bit of luck you might spot wild mouflons. Please note: dogs are not allowed here.
